Number plate,
usually called a
license plate or
registration
plate is a rectangular plate, usually made of metal or plastic
material that bears a sequence of numbers, letters, or both, issued by a
government to officially identify a vehicle. On many vehicles,
registration plates appear in pairs, with one attached to the front and
another attached to the rear. Number plates are mandatory for all kinds
of vehicles either two wheelers or four wheelers.

Features of Number Plates
There are various features of number plates, which must be ensured
before getting it issued. The various features include:

replicable.

replicated.

The sole purpose of attaching number plates to a two wheeler is to
identify the vehicle uniquely from others on the road, usually within
